I don't accept the practice, but rather need to conserve my energy for more important purposes. There is already too much to get worked up about right now, and that goes for all of us. I don't have time to let this nonsense fuel a fire that's already at full throttle!

It's always been this: the seller wants every last nickel and the buyer wants to save every nickel possible. I can't allow myself to get irate about the shilling. I don't have enough room left for that. I can empathize with those of you who are primarily collectors. That would definitely make the rub sting so much more. I am a dealer, so everything I am attempting to buy has to have a threshold I can not go over for it to remain a sensible purchase. As long as I "win" the item at or under the number I have in mind, it works for me. I don't have to lose sleep (there are already enough other things in life causing that). If I get it, wonderful. If not, on to the next possibility. I'm already forced to bid under the money if I have a profit in mind, so I know I won't be prone to my own overbidding maneuvers.
