There was no MVP award from 1915-21. From 1922-1929, the MVP award was reinstated and became the “League Awards”, during which time, both the Babe and WaJo won only one award, because, according to the rules, a player was only allowed to receive the recognition once.
There was no award in 1930, and in 1931 Left Grove won it with a 31-4 record and 2.04 ERA (Babe Ruth finished 5th, but still probably deserved to win it). The Babe was no longer as dominant from 1932 to the end of his career in '35.
