Cabrera didn't make the majors until 2003 and that was a partial season. Chipper's first season was 1995. Neither produced enough to make the top 5. I'm really not sure the point of this, but they would be top 20 players of the decade with Rcs in that decade. It took enough work to get the top 5, someone else can go deeper if they like.

If we want a true top 100 list, take the top 20 rookie cards per decade and count the player's whole career. Many of those guys who are top 5 only counting the years of the decade, wouldn't even make a top 20 list. For basketball, Bill Russell just missed the 50s list because he doesn't have enough time and Jabbar only gets one year, no chance at making it. For baseball, guys like Bob Gibson, Reggie Jackson and Ken Griffey Jr only get one year, so again no chance. For the OP, Carew, Bonds and Peyton Manning, not enough time to make the list. Brown and Walter Payton would be close, probably not top 5, but top 20.
