I had it custom framed with a copy of an original snapshot that I own of the celebration that occurred after Vandy's 2nd consecutive no-hitter on June 15th, 1938- the 1st night game at Ebbets Field.
The caption below the image reads:
"Johnny Vander Meer, No-Hit King"
Below that it says:
"The Cincinnati southpaw's feat of pitching two consecutive no-hit games against Boston and Brooklyn set an all-time major league record. He is 23, 6 ft. tall, weighs 190 asnd calls Midland Park, NJ his home town."
