John, no story I know of, I got it just like you see it. I hope nobody purposely cut them apart, I suspect they were just scraps someone kept after cutting, but I don’t know.

Many of the Bowman and Topps photos were taken by William Jacobellis, including 1951.
There is a pretty good article on his Bowman and Topps connections, including a deciphering of his back notes...
