SGC A T206 Keeler Hammer

Sniping mishap at the end (looking at the bids indicates such).
2.) It is on it's way to PSA very soon and will probably land in a 5 or 6 holder.
3.) Both

Do you buy 'A' cards with the intent to resubmit?

What's the difference, besides a grading fee?

Many motives possible, I suppose!

-------------------------------------------------
T206 Site: http://www.T206.org
T205 Site: http://www.T205.org

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
There is no way, anymore, of predicting what prices T206's will go for on ebay. The Chesbro is a really fine looking card.
The winner will most certainly crack it out and re-submit it. With 19 bids there were quite a few others thinking the same.
Therefore, with that in mind, the price it sold for is not unusual.

Here's a similar T206 lot....M. Brown (Chicago), Sovereign 350, PSA2. It also ended last nite and given it's condition, I was
hoping it would go for less than $100. It too, is a nice looking card and possibly undergraded. I needed it for an upgrade
in my all-Sovereign set. But, like your Chesbro example, I had to contend with a lot of bidders.

Anyhow, I won it......beating out several snipers in the last 7 secs. I paid considerably more than I wanted to; but, my
"manual-sniping-system" prevailed. This is the 8th time (out of 10 times) that my "system" has won for me.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110216818451&ssPageNam e=ADME:B:BCA:US:1123

Best regards,

TED Z

Posted By: keyway
I think to many cards are sent back as trimmed. These cards were not all the same size from the begining. Its a little short or its a little narrow, more times than not they were cut that way. Many times I buy groups of cards that are beat and they are many sizes. Its obvious they were not trimmed by thier condition. Look at all the angle cuts, did someone do them? Sizing is overdone IMO.

Posted By: Larry
The hammer price that was paid was a bargain, the buyer will have a chance to turn a $300 investment into many thousands because if the card grades and is a PSA 8, the card is extremely low pop and would be very valuable, at worse case, the card is certainly worth $300...I would have paid a lot more but I was too busy yelling at my daughter that night for not cleaning her room, very expensive lesson.

Posted By: Jeff Shepherd
Possible trim with those sharp corners, but the borders are so fat. Beautiful card regardless. I do remember a post of extra-large bordered T206's - anyone have a scan? If this card didn't originate this way, it had to be of the large-bordered pedigree.
