Baseball Bats Border question

Posted By: Joe Jones
Just some late night/morning thinking. Does this 1911/1910? baseball bats card have the borders? I know there are two variations white border and orange border. I don't have the card in my possession yet to measure it but it definatly looks like the white border variation. Can someone post a scan of their white border card please . Or better yet let's see some more of these cards.

Posted By: Joe Jones
Thanks Guys! Nice Cards too! What are your opinions on year produced? Gai has graded my card and has labeled it 1910 but I see your SGC cards are 1911. Are these cards too obscure to know much about the production or is the 1911 that is used by sgc (and the 2006 standard catalog)the correct year?

Posted By: Scott Mosley
Joe,

I don't know that there is anything "definitive" regarding a date on this issue.

Lew Lipsets Encyclopedia states that the most likely year of issue is 1911 based upon some of the players that appear in the set but, like many issues from that era which recycled player images, there are some descrepancies that make you wonder...

Scott
