Posted By: George
Hi,
I took a look at that auction several times and decided not to bid on it. Is it possible that ABC actually stands for the American Brewing Company and that this is actually a precursor to the Indianapolis ABC's? I know it may be a stretch
but wanted to throw it out there.

I actually did find another posting in one of the other forums with a team denoted as "MABC." It's killing me now as I can't seem to find that link but it may provide some more insight. If I'm able to find it, I will definitely pass it along.

Below is a nice article on the Indianapolis ABC's and some history.

http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20070207&content_id=1796870&vkey=n ews_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

George
