Willie Mays
What Willie Mays card is his rarest and/ or most abstract card produced?
BRIGGS MEATS 53/54 |

Not a card but there is only one 1968 Topps Willie Mays Plak known to exist.
|
darn rare
1961 Topps Dice game..... cant be many of those out there, maybe a handful
|
I know Nicolo has one but these are pretty darn rare. Rarer than 95% of his issues for sure. If it was a bit smaller (its 9x12) and fit a PSA slab I have no doubt it would be in the several thousands easily. Its a piece of art.
1964 Fortune shoes premium. Ad from the April 1964 issue of Ebony Magazine. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4b35321993.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...920170a632.jpg |
That's a beauty Lucas.
Trim it, the opinion sellers will give it a number, and you can sell it for a huge profit. |
1971 bazooka numbered panel.

According to my notes, there are 4 that have been graded by PSA. |

No longer own one, but PSA only has about 80 graded and as a newspaper give-away in 1954, there can't be too many floating around. (one pictured is not mine)
|

And one more that I longer own, another newspaper give-away from 1958. Only 7 graded by PSA. (one pictured is not mine)

Briggs Meats can definitely be tough. Although PSA does have them down for pop 11, plus I’m sure there’s some in SGC holders out there. |

Unless I’m reading the PSA pop charts wrong, they have it down for pop 45 with the stub, and only pop 7 without the stub. Of course, it seems like those that have the stub could be modified to lose the stub pretty easily. |

Just for fun, let’s add these 64 Sports Heroes complete sheets.
The Mays singles have a pop 3 with PSA, so I suspect the complete sheets are similarly rare. Thus far, PSA has rejected my requests to slab the complete sheets. But maybe they’ll relent someday, and we’ll get more of them to come out of old collections. |

Have to save several last name searches for this reason lol. |

It look a long time to finally track it down, and I had to pay a healthy sum to acquire it. Now that I have it, it's proudly on display in my "forever" collection. Maybe someday after I retire, and need to start selling off my collection to fund my retirement, then I'll let it go. But that's still a long ways off, as I'm still relatively young. |
Mays
yes, were all relatively young, and relatively in good shape , and relatively have all our hair ,and.... LOL

And hell yes!!! Never gonna give any of those up. Luckily, around these parts, 47 still counts as "relatively young". |
