Hall of fame collecting

I’ve been wondering, how many hall of fame autographs would an average collecter be able to put together now days? How far could you get before rarity or price becomes too much to overcome? Even for the wealthy collectors.

I'm sure it differs drastically, depending on one's collecting budget. Try re-posting in the Autograph Sub-forum, and you'll likely get a better response.

As for me personally, I stalled out at about 90. In retrospect, two that I should've pursued more vigorously (back in the day) were Mordecai Brown and Grover Alexander. Both were quite attainable 10 years ago but have skyrocketed in recent years, to the point I no longer consider pursuing them. Too many things I'd rather collect, not the mention the constant reminder of "you snooze, you lose!"
