Nice ones. Love the Berra image.

John I believe your gehrig and dimaggio pins are reproductions. washed out backgrounds.. If you can post a Pic of the backs that will tell me more.. But would say repro.. Maris is good Early 60s...

I believe the Yankees blue pin is from the 50s. Typical sales in the $10 - $20.
|
Without knowing which back goes to which front, I’d say the yellow back is “good.”
|
The Yankees pennant pin should be from the 1950 American Nut & Chocolate set.
Is it for sale? |
John if the order is how you wrote them them I would say the gehrig and dimaggio and berra are reproductions. Backs arenot correct.. the fronts are way to washed out looking to begin with but the backs tell the real story.. As was pointed out ruffing and maris are good. I corrected my thought on berra as the back also isnt what was put out in the 50s. there was a set put out in the late 80s that had that berra style in it as I believe thats the time the dimaggio and gehrig was produced.. The small yankee pin is from the american nut and chocolate set. correct also sells in the 10 to 20 dollar range... its from the 50s...

John just to tell you why I said that the pins are reproductions here are real ones of these pins. The yankees are known as the white circle design. there were 4 yankees pictured and 4 were made. Some had a small union stamp some had a colored back some had nothing at all. These were put out in the 30s. The reason I asked about the back is look at the collet used that is the metal ring used to crimp the picture into the pin. Its much thinner on the real ones. Also the back itself doesnt look tinny and new looking. Also not washed out. Also note the Berra at the top. This is a 50s pin. Front can be a little deceiving to tell but after collection for 45 plus years you get a feel after handling thousands of pins what to look for.. I hope this clears up what you needed to know. As you can see the Maris is a real pin the yellow back one. Nice small union stamp the split on the back of the pin will affect its price.. just like a crease in a card flaws in pins are also a price driver.... Enjoy them...

Thanks for the info!

I just got these from the same collection - the backs appear similar to the others. I would love to know your thoughts. Thanks! |
John those 2 are fine. just later yankees put out probably in the 70s.. yes back construction is similar to the others but they are wrong for the era.. these are fine..
