Help with player ID

Hi everyone. Stumbled across this old tintype of a baseball player. I'm hoping it's a big leaguer and realize the chances are slim. It's a sixth plate tintype meaning it's approximately 2 3/4 x 3 1/4.

I'd love it if anyone can give me more information about this. Of course identifying the player would be amazing. Anything else would be greatly appreciated too - approximate year, value, etc.

Bears some resemblance to Willie Keeler, but the photo is small and I haven't had my coffee (as if I'm otherwise some sort of expert :) )

Willie Keeler threw left-handed. Tintypes are reverse images, so unless the OP has already reversed it before posting, the player in the tintype is actually a right-handed thrower.

It does help to read the post rather than skipping to the picture.;)
