Escrow services?

Has anyone here used an escrow service to pay for cards?

If so PLMK what company and your experience with them.

Looking for recommendations

Thanks

If you’re worried about buying cards off of a board member I’m sure Leon can assist you and give you advice.

Is PayPal goods and services not sufficient? I don’t know much about it, but seems like an escrow service with a 3% fee

Hi Guys:

Thanks for trying to help.

First, the person ( seller) is not on Net 54. He is on the periphery of the hobby.

The amount is quite significant. I do not want to pay until the cards are authenticated/graded and he understandably will not let the cards out of his hands until he is paid. He also does not want to send the cards through the mail to be graded in case they are lost

Thus the need for an Escrow company where I can deposit the funds, they hold the money, the seller gives me the cards to get authenticated/graded and once done if authentic the funds are released to the seller.

I was hoping some members here have had a similar situation in the past and could suggest a good Escrow company they have used

Are there any of our members, or other hobbyists in that area, that could help with the authentication? IF you trusted them they could take a look?
I guess he doesn't have high resolution scans?

Google "non real estate escrow companies" in your area. They do personal property escrows. Attorneys can also park the money in their IOLTA accounts, which is basically a Trust account for client monies, and manage the transaction.
