Mathewson opinion wanted
 

I'd really appreciate some help with this Christy Mathewson auto.

I've been able to find examples with some of the characteristics in this autograph (for example, the C in Christy, the drop on the Y, the S in Mathewson) but I've not found an example with all of these styles at the same time.

I agree... his signature "evolved" somewhat but I've never seen t's like that. He always crossed them linearly in a downward slope.

No chance on this "Matty".
It should be noted that Mathewson is one of the most forged signatures in the hobby. Coach's Corner alone is still probably cranking them out daily somewhere. ;):rolleyes:

I'm still learning with regards to autographs so the collective wisdom of Net54 is a great help.

You're looking at $10K plus for a Matty auto; and you had better have a JSA or PSA cert to go with it. Otherwise it's almost certainly not real. And even if it is actually real you'll never be able to re-sell it without the JSA or PSA cert.
