Please help ID these Japanese cards
I know there are a lot of knowledgeable Japanese card collectors on this forum. Can someone help me identify the make and year of these 4-in-1 cards? They are completely black and white and have blank backs and measure 5x8.5”.

This thread was moved from a BST area to get more eyes on it.

I would ask Rob of Prestige Collectibles.

The uncut b&w panels are listed in Gary Engel's Japanese Baseball Card Guide as a 1980 JA9 Four Card Panel Set. There are 20 panels for a total of 80 cards. They were produced in the U.S., but it is not known who made them.
The Chiba Lotte Marines postcards are from around 1989. Let me know if you have any other questions. Robert |
Thank you for your help, Robert. I was considering diving into Japanese baseball cards and wondered if you could point me in the direction of a good website group or Facebook group to join.

Dave McNeely's blog has a lot of information about Japanese cards.

When I began collecting Japanese cards, I started a thread about it, which at this point has lots of information about Japanese players.
If you're interested, it's here. |
Thanks, guys!
