Your favorite baseball images - to complement your vintage display
1 Attachment(s)
Good Friday morning all -
I’d love to see your suggestions for your favorite “images of baseball” that you might use to dress up and complement your vintage collection I’m looking for a bit more of “baseball as art” kind of images or photo vs famous baseball moments For instance, instead of a picture of Fisk waving the ball fair, I’m looking more for images like this one below… love to see what other images you all love Thx! thats a great picture and an even better camera angle

Love that Clemente image. Here's one I've always liked.

From the Ernie Harwell collection. Waiting outside Navin Field. Seems "artsy" to me. I also like old newspapers. I think a newspaper can capture a moment in time artistically pretty well.

This one of Hack Wilson always struck me...

They spent the pre-game warmups together running around the field one last time. He went in the game, got a strikeout and was pulled so he could get cheered one last time by the Wrigley faithful. As he walks to the dugout his son runs out to hug him. |

I like these two: Front page of Chicago Sun-Times newspaper when my beloved White Sox won the pennant in 1959. The "Go-Go Sox", maybe the most famous World Series runners-up of all time. And just a great photo of Orestes Minoso, Mr. White Sox
