Colgan's Chips Tins
2 Attachment(s)
Curious as to whether anyone has been able to determine which Colgan's Chips containers/tins came with the three different Colgan's Chips sets.
I know I have seen a variety of different tins over the years. Patrick |

I have these 2, but I don't really know anything about them. Here is a prior thread with a little info...

Speaking of E254s

I also noticed that Syd Smith has two variations in the E254 set.
One for Atlanta and one for Buffalo. As far as I can determine, he never played for Buffalo, however, Heinie Smith was on the team. Guessing another case of wrong Smith picked. Patrick |
Nice Tin. Maybe Chris A. will chime in as he has almost a master set of the cards. This container and cards can probably help answer one of the questions. It came from outside of the hobby (and shown many times).

I have shown mine before it does not show the 1906 food and drug act information on it so I think it predates the card set.

I tend to agree. And I have seen many folks think the 1906 Act, on a multitude of items, think it is the mfg date which it generally isn't.
