I need a little help. I purchased one of these on eBay and it just arrived. Seller said it was real, but when I looked at it, it is thicker than my other t206's, coloring on both back and front don't look right, and the lettering just doesn't seem correct. Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated before I contact the seller and send it back. What do see from the pictures? What do you look for?

Thanks,
Paul

Not a fan of the card on the left. back print color is very wonky in addition to what you've already noticed.

I agree the card on the left is suspect. Color is off and on the reverse the ink is funky and it looks as if the card has some type of shiny substance on the lower 1/3rd of the card.

The problem is the card on the left. The lettering on his name is also blurry. The card is darker on front and back not because it is dirty, but because of small print dots all over the card. I have sent an email to the eBay seller and hopefully he/she will help work with me on this.

Thanks,
Paul

Left is fake - in addition to coloring, the crease is not one that you see in T206 cards - compare it to the one on the right

Look at the font boldness weight for "SUBJECTS" and "BASEBALL BALL SERIES" -- The one of the left is a lot heavier

I know the pictures may be deceiving me, but doesn't the one on the left have an area (within the borders) taller than the real one on the right? If they are indeed different sizes within the borders, that would be another glaring indicator that the left one is fake, as various examples of a particular T206 subject should be sized the same inside the borders. Here is an example of two different authentic T206 Tris Speaker cards I spotted on ebay that illustrate my point:

And now I have noticed the back scans of Matty provided...man that fake one is so much bigger. Did no one else notice this disparity?

That's a great catch. I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.

Thanks everyone for the comments. They will really help me and others down the road!!! The eBay seller already refunded the money.

Makes you wonder about the lengths of the sides...

I have nothing to contribute except to say I had no idea there were two Paul Stewarts on this board.
