An Ebay Auction to avoid

I doubt anyone on this Board would fall for these, but this lot already has 12 bids for over $68 ... and these are most definitely reprints (the fronts are horrible). So if you know any of the bidders ... warn them!

Also, all the "Reprint" lines have been conveniently "worn" out on the backs as well. I just notified the seller they were reprints.

Honest seller, just out of his wheelhouse (IMHO).

some folks don't know what they are selling - some sell fakes by mistake and some sell T206 Lenox backs cheaply ....go figure

+1 I had notified him as well; he responded "thanks".

This was an interesting auction to be going on in parallel to the Lenox discussion. It had many of those details that seem to fit with a seller who has no idea what they are selling and the value. It was listed under Tobacciana and not under baseball cards. They did not list the series name or any player names. So one might think, "this very well could be a cheap and hidden find...should I alert the seller?" But then a closer look reveals them to be obvious fakes.

I suspect the seller had no idea what they were and believed them to be real. A true scammer would have listed them under baseball cards to get more hits and would have mentioned the presence of Hall of Fame players.
