Good stuff, my friend. Wounded Warrior Project is my go-to charity (and St. Jude).
I see from the auction that you're a sub guy. I'm a submarine veteran myself. Good luck with the auction! |
Something else I'd like to add. A while back there was an auction here on the B/S/T for some old photos. One of the photos was of Dom and Joe Dimaggio in uniform from WWII. I collect vintage baseball and militaria so this was right up my alley. I missed the end of the auction and lost out. I contacted the winner (David L.) and asked if he'd be interested in selling just the Dimaggio military photo. He wrote me back saying that if I'd make a donation to charity that he'd send me the photo for free b/c he wanted the other photo.
I just wanted to point out that I really like the character of most of the people that post here. This is a good online community and one of the reasons I keep coming back. http://www.tigerdroppings.com/Images...Iconcheers.gif |
Hey Zach,
Thanks for the Kind words... I do believe that we've talked before!? I spent my 1st 10 years of Service aboard the USS Omaha(SSN 692), Loved Every Second of it! And You're Absolutely Right about the Net54 Community, The Folks Here are True to Many Good Causes! As Always... |
We probably did talk before (I have a terrible memory). I did 8 years and got out... 4 on the Wyoming (SSBN-742), 2 on the Philadelphia (SSN-690), and 2 on the Emory S. Land (AS-39).
