1933 Sport Kings high #'s??
3 Attachment(s)
Please set me straight. I've been told by some that their are high number cards in the 1933 Goudey Sport Kings set and others have sent me emails telling me that I am full of it and accusing me of trying to mislead collectors. If their aren't any high #'s then why did SGC designate (High #) on the holder without me requesting it? They consider cards 25-48 high #'s according to their holders.
I have had this set up for sale from time to time and advertised cards 25+ as the high series. Am I wrong? I have included scans of cards #25 and #42 Carl Hubbell. |
i believe 25-48 are the sport kings high numbers

Tell the complainers to look at SMR which breaks down the set 1-24 and 25-48.
However, when I completed my set in SGC 84-88, I noticed no difference in availability in high grade between the two series. There are tough cards, Holman and Thorpe, in the low series, and Baer, Didrickson and Seppala in the high series. Hubbell and Jones in the high series were not any tougher than the low series cards. Just more expensive. http://photos.imageevent.com/rgold/r...khubbell96.jpg |
