Are these Cracker Jack pins/buttons?
2 Attachment(s)
I found these two pins/buttons (Luke Appling, Al Simmons) in some of my father's stuff and have been unable to find any information or valuation on them. Leon seemed to think they might be Cracker Jack pins but they aren't really pins. Any information on them and their value would be appreciated.

Hi dd
they look very similar to these...
http://www.oldcardboard.com/pins/pr4...cardsetID=1072 Maybe they were made in different ways? I am not really a pin guy but there are some avid pin collectors on the board so maybe they can help. regards |
maybe National Game pins?

They're "tabs"
That issue is cataloged as 1938 Baseball Tabs. They're listed on Page 33 of the 2011 edition of the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards.

Duh! Guess you can tell me the value as you wrote the book. Sorry my sports ignorance is showing. |
1938 tabs
These pins are very condition sensitive. The pins are worth a lot more if the tabs have not been bent. If you try to bend them out again, they will probably break off, as I have found out. Given the shape of your two, I would guess they are worth 10 to 20 dollars.

Here are some other examples of the 1938 tabs. These are very condition sensitive. Easily scratched and usually found with bent tabs.
