I saw this in an auction(after it ended) last night and not sure what it is? It stated the year
was 1920 and was acquired out of a vending machine for a penny. I've never
seen one before and thought it looked pretty cool.

Looks to me like an advertising card for Exhibit cards... ca 1921. Maybe went on or above the machine that held those cards of the Exhibit Supply Co.

Thanks Frank, it is the same photo of the '21 Exhibits. Makes sense.

I think I'd actually rather have this than the actual exhibit itself. Cool item!!

I saw it too and hoped to get it on the cheap.
Nice pickup to who ever snagged it.
It ended at $542.80

I think Exhibit Supply Co. was based in Chicago. That advertising card mentions "American League" players. Seems that the card would have been on a machine in an American League park, or at least an American League city. I'd think that they had a different card for the National League, wonder who was on it. And It may well be that they had a different card for each city or team. That would have been easy to do, and would have maximized sales. Anyone seen others of these with different players? My recollection is that in later years the machines had a place where 2 or 4 of the actual cards were displayed behind glass or plastic.
