There were only a few of us with Negro League material but the items Jim C. and Jamie S. shared were incredibly special. Scott M’s Crofts collection may be among the finest in captivity. Etc., etc., etc., etc. Oh, and best prize for display goes to Steve H! Even Leon was there to monitor the goings-on.

Thanks to Goldin Auctions for the hospitality.

But the real genius behind the day belongs to our welcoming hosts, Ryan and Andrew who may be launching new careers as promoters--they do it well! The friendliness and willingness to share they encouraged is a breath of fresh air in a hobby that often lacks the pure joy of sharing our passions with like-minded individuals.

I look forward to next year’s event and hanging out!
