Great copy of the Georgia Peach

I feel so lucky to have Hank Aaron as my favorite player. I can't even imagine how tough it must be to have Cobb or Ruth as a fave! Wow!

Very cool Cobb card-- I like the dual name aspect.

very nice cobb! was the same card above it or was it a "cobb w bat on shoulder" card above it? are there any pics of t206 sheets floating around?
all I got in the mail today. no cardboard porn, but a cool card imo: red variant and pretty cool he batted .500 http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps5lkwnxa7.jpg |
Great Larry Bird card and great story to go with it. Never realized he played baseball. Thanks for sharing.

Picked up one I've wanted for a long time earlier this month. Also first post for me, glad to be on the forum.

Welcome to the forum crose. You are off to a good start with the Musial. Very nice pickup!!!

Welcome to our little play land. Beautiful card to start off with. It's still the only main issue Musial I'm needing. Very nice indeed!

Here are a couple more recent pickups, the Gibson was probably in December or January but I think its close enough. The Jackson is part of my work in progress 54' set. If you have any raw mid grade 54' commons I would love to give you an offer. http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/...4327272FCC.jpg |
I may be meeting a guy in a couple days that would have plenty of 54 commons raw and roughly VG-EX. He wants to sell. Will let you know what I find out.

I just purchased this Frank Robinson to finish off an uncracked 1971 Kelloggs set.

Nice pick up on those 74s I had been watching that listing closely but didn't pull the trigger quick enough!

Awesome Musial!! I am in the market for one myself but in the PSA 2-3 range as that's all my budget allows. Great pick up!!

Very happy about this one. Went in search of this card a ways back and literally every one on ebay-- must have been a hundred examples-- was OC. Finally found a centered copy...

Nice! Ah, the chase for a centered card - I know your struggle well. Is it bad that I would take a well-centered card with a hairline crease over an O/C one without? I know some collectors (mainly of the old school variety) who aren't bothered in the least if a card is O/C - even bad like 85/15 - as long as it is clean and has nice corners. That's never been me...although in the days before the advent of professional grading it seems that centering was much less of an issue...
I digress. Nice '65 Rose. |

Card I got rid of from my childhood vintage collection probably in the early 2000's and have regretted ever since. Finally made it right on the last day of February with this beauty, which is nicer than the original one I had. I don't collect anything super high-grade, just go for nice stuff with history and nostalgia. :)

Thanks. I just want to have his 63,64,65, and 67. Maybe 71,72,75, and 76 as well. Best thing about that 65 is that it's a PSA 3.5! Would probably 5 if resent raw but not my game these days. Was very psyched to see it. Went way over VCP but gladly.

nice 65. good year for cards and mustangs.
if I remember from my search a few years ago on the 65 rose, the centering was more of an issue from ttb vs ltr... always seemed to hug that lower right hand corner w. very little bottom border. |
