Default Hermes Ice Cream Pinback Identification

Posted By: Josh Siegel

I came across a Hermes pin and I was hoping one of the friendly members of the board would be able to help identify the player.

Thanks in advance, Josh Siegel

Hi Josh,
Very hard to identify the players in that set. Put out in 1910 they are all the Champion Pittsburgh Pirates. There are 12 pins in the set the most expensive being Wagner(thats not Wagner) Yours looks to be in nice condition all the rest of the 11 range from 135in vg to 450 in Nrmt. Yours looks to be a solid exmt and probably will value around 275-400. Nice item good luck with it.

I have found three that have sold in auction houses recently. Wagner for $8k+, two others for about $1200 apiece. I know these are rare, how many exist?

Wow that pin is Great! Definatly great condition for the issue. I had an Adams that I sold a while back somewhere in between $200 to $300 if I remember correctly? It was pretty beat up with cracks.

Looks like a kid to me?

This pin will be up for auction on April 5th in Fusco Auctions' Vintage Sports Card & Memorabilia Auction. There is also a near set of P2 pins and nearly 100 B18 Blankets!

Thanks,

Josh Siegel
