Hey Jim,

There is another thread related to these on the front page. I think they are not original. I think they are cut up copies of the LOC uncut sheet that was reissued as a photo and many other ways after that. The thing to look at is this, if they where real they would have been sepia color not black and white (and OJ's never came black and white they still had a little sepia tone to them) I am sure I can be wrong here, but look at his past auctions. All of the other scans are nice and clear so the whole "it was my scanner" thing would not fly with me. This is just my opinion. I am not bidding on them but good luck to who is. I hope they are real!

Trevor

I don't think they are real either but I put some small bids on them to try and win one, just to see. I am glad I was outbid. They look now like they are going for close to what real OJs would go for.

Well it looks like 1 buyer is going to be very disappointed then. Buyer "alleycatwino" has bid on most of them.

I agree with Trevor. Since when has anyone seen a black and white OJ? Those cards look like they came out of a copy machine.

I'm staying away as well. All the seller wants to tell me is look at his feedback (which is on comic books)

Pretty sure, not real. But, not sure what you guys are talking about with black and white. Here are 2 Old Judge cards,, one I would call black and white.

The seller offered a refund on the cards if they were found to be reprints. Bottom line is that if the sale price on them was low then the risk may have been worth it. Cripes, those cards didn't exactly sell on the low end of the spectrum. If they're reprints then the seller may be refunding a few thousand dollars.

I stated in the other thread "OJ Newbie Question" Thread. The seller told me they were photo paper thin. If real they are skinned.

Yep those are what I was trying to say these are. The ones on ebay are cut versions of these known sheets.

The seller got decent $$ for today's ended OJ's, he just listed another today, claiming to be original as well. You guys that missed out now have another chance.

I'm a little confused. First, who is CGC? Is that a sister company of SGC; I've never heard of them. What are they authenticating--that the photograph is period or that it came form these archives and was made from original photographs? Finally, it is really interesting to see an image of "Joe" McCarthy from his playing days. I've never seen an Old Judge this color and my guess is that after seeing these I still will not have seen an Old Judge that is this color.

All I can say is that I hope 55ducks got a little education out of the deal. These are the same names that were up last week. (If our suspicions are correct, then I can't be sure these are the same pieces of paper.) The only one not back for an encore is the one bought by alleycatwino. If the guy isn't laundering money then he's going to be mighty disillusioned when his eyes get opened.

Mr. Clarke,

You should E mail the seller back and tell him to go ahead and report you to safe Harbor. Then inform him YOU have already reported him for misrepresented and possibly fraudulent listings. Let's see how he likes having THAT light shined on him.

David
