You really need to have a screw loose to buy a Babe Ruth autograph from anyone other than a top shelf dealer or known source. And EVEN THEN, you should check that everything's in tight.

I don't totally disagree with you....I think there are a million good places to buy and transact business in the hobby. I think this board's duty is to point out good and more importantly BAD places.....If we save one person from getting ripped off we have done good. I think we have saved far more than that...and hopefully will continue.....The more information the GOOD GUYS have the harder it is for the bad guys to do business.....regards

I agree this board has been terrific spotting fakes and exposing unscrupulous dealers. It has saved people a lot of money, and that will keep collectors in the hobby. If someone gets burned a few times he usually leaves and never comes back.
