Default 2 Cool cards in your collection

I love looking at cards (even if they are not mine), so I decided to start this thread. I have 5 cards that I had trouble choosing from, but my e98 Cobb in baby blue and e104-1 Plank "World Champions" won out. They were not chosen because they were the most rare or expensive of my collection, they're just so damn cool. I purchased these privately in the spring and can't stop looking at them. Show your favorite cards off!

Edited to say that it was hard to choose these two. ALso considered were the Gibson Toleteros, Charleston Aguelitas Segundas, E107 Plank, M101-5 Ruth, '15 Cracker Jack Jackson, and M101-5 Jackson with Famous and Barr back.

these two:

I agree Joe! That's one cool e100

Weaver is a 30 because SGC hates me. It is one nice card! Should be a 50 minimum.

Dan,
I love that E98 Cobb. Great card. Let me know if it ever drops off your top two list.

I don't think that t206s are boring. But unless you are into it, a prolonged discussion about backs can be fatal.

This is definitely one of my favorites. A classic image of the legendary Cap Anson. This card came directly from a woman whose grandfather collected them out of the pack.

Great thread.

You folks all have such dynamite collections that there's nothing I can show you that you'd think was particularly cool. But here are a couple from my own collection that I like a lot.

-Al

Interesting - the Ward is showing up very tiny, that's the second time this week that a large file has been shrunk down. I wonder if 54 has software that automatically shrinks down larger files. Anyway, it's a Newsboy Ward.

Since my set of choice is T3's Here are my 2 favorites.
I have many in higher grades
but these 2 low grade classics look great w/ the tender
loving care from 95 years of handling them.

dan's e98 cobb, e104 plank, andrew's d322 wagner, e97 keeler....cat's e135 hornsby--they all spoke to me and whispered sweet lovin' music in my ears. Very nice! I'm almost at that point where all the cards I have left are loved equally, but here's a pair because they're similar:

good lord man...that's like asking the guy at Baskin Robins whats the best flavor.

...but i still wanna see Mckee go mad trying to decide

no doubt this card of Franz Klammer gettin' old school on the Steif at Hahnenkamm (aka 85-90 mph) circa 1976 could be considered about as cool as it gets.

i would love to find a card or more photos of Darren Rahlves rippin' and whippin' the Kamm to pieces in 2001-2004....

edited for late night warriors (not you green lantern..you get to blame sleepless nights and also rans elsewhere)

something old and something new (thanks Mr C).

What a great bunch of cards shown. The E98 Cobb, N172 Anson, T222 Alexander, the PCL stuff you rarely see, bread cards, cocoa cards, never saw an ugly T3 Jay, the greatest athlete ever, the greatest work horse, HOFers galore, good thread. Also, something just in the door but rising very fast on my favorite cards list so I had to show it off (thanks Mr M).

oh...and a native American that could do a lot of stuff well .

Two of my current favorites are my N172 Wheelock and the W501 Southworth. The Wheelock is the oldest card I own and the image is great. I like the Southworth because it has his son in it. My third choice would have been my Fatima Players Tyler card.

Two of my many favorites. I love the dead ball era postcards, & I've always thought the Schapira is a "cool" looking card.

Joe -

I am glad you enjoy that Suter, but please don't show it too often...ah regrets.
My two favorite prewar cards; the one that got me into the 1909 Obaks, and my favorite card from the set.

Its not the "coolest" looking card, but the e93 Joss was my first pre war card, so i have to post that. The e93 Jones is the best condition pre war card. i would have included the e98 Mathewson, but i'm still waiting for it in the mail
