Dealer high priced inventories dumped on ebay as BINs. makes it tough to find the "regular" listings

i'm right there with you bob....i hate the "dime days".

i was going to list some items tonight....i am looking for feedback from ebay sellers.

does the overload of BIN items hurt auction sales???

should i proceed as planned, or should i take a few days off???

i was planning on listing some t206's and a few other items.

any input is appreciated.

It's not going to hurt your auctions, especially if they are no reserve auctions or non buy-it-now auctions.

Looking on eBay I have marked in my mind the sellers who never list anything at a price worth buying and skip over them... But those are mostly the big name dealers.

I like these $.10 listing days. At least we get to see what's out there. It's not out of control yet though. I imagine by tonight there will be a ton more up there to sift through.

I was also planning to put up cards today, even before I saw the good 'ol dime-day. On known sets (like t205, t206, or mine, t218, t220), I think 5-day auctions are fine (even 3-days work). So that's why I am still going to list today, with a 5-day. Wins two ways (in my "logic"):

1 -- Auction ends Sunday (or "ebayday").
2 -- Most "dumpers" will go with 7-day auctions, so my 5-day ones will be listed ahead of those (when viewed by "ending soonest").

Finally, most ebay buyers will fine your needle in the dump-day haystack.

Just my 2 (ah, sorry, 10) cents, Scott

I like the .10 days cheap to list, just make sure I run either 3,5 or 10 day listings. I do list some cards that I normally would not, especially if it's expensive.

Since most of the dumped crap is BIN all you have to do is hit the "Auctions" tab and it sorts out all of the BIN dump day crap...

All Items -------- Auctions --------- Buy It Now
