This was in my local newspapers sports section this morning just thought I would pass it along. The article doesn`t mention anything about his Old Judge card pictured so I have no idea where it came from.

Co-incidentally, a biographer in the middle of a work on Stovey posted a request in the SABR e-mail digest for material and information on Stovey. Please send me an email and I'll pass on his contact information.

(I've already sent him the link to this article)

Thanks

Max

Max do you want my E-mail address?I read this article in The Standard Times on Saturday it was also on their web site that day (southcoasttoday.com) but I could not figure out how to post the link here so I cut out the article and scanned it.That was the entire article there is nothing more I could add to it.I thought it was pretty cool to learn a little about the man and his life not just his baseball stats. He played for the Clam-Eaters of the New England League, thats got to be one of the funniest team names I have ever heard of.Must have been trying to cash in on the popularity of the Boston Beaneaters. What a game that would be Beaneaters VS.Clam-Eaters bring your gas mask!
