Does anybody have a scan? I think this card might have just become my Holy Grail and I'd really like to see what it looks like.

Anybody want to buy my slightly creased Solly Hoffman with a Piedmont back T206 for 7200 dollars?

given that fact that Hofman is a dirt common and Claxton may be a "common" per se, but far from a commonly found card, you will have a hard time fiding anyone accepting your offer. Good luck in your pursuit, This card is on the want list a lot of Zeenut collectors and even casual collectors who don't specialize in Zeenuts.

Or a Weaver. And definitely any of the Joe DiMaggios.

Adam, I have the Dom DiMaggio. When you pick up a Claxton, let me know. I think there's a trade in the works here.

But cards of the Negro Leaguers are my thing. That Claxton played for the Oaks--I'm from the East Bay--makes it all the better. I know I'll most likely never own the card unless I get miraculously lucky or rich, but it--or one of the Bruce Petway cards--is my pot at the end of the rainbow. Just kidding about the Hofman, btw, unless someone really wants to buy it. In that case, I'm incredibly serious. I'll even pay the shipping and insurance and include a top loader for free!

Dom ain't Joe. A nice card but not in the same league.

Adam,

Sorry I didn't read your post carefully. I thought you said "any of the DiMaggios," but you said "any of the Joe DiMaggios."

I also happen to have a Joe DiMaggio. I still think we might be able to work out a deal.
