Default (3) N172's I bought on Ebay - the conclusion

Posted By: James Verrill

I promised I'd let you folks know what happened w/the 3 N172's I purchased recently on Ebay.

There were alot of folks that figured these were reprints, very good ones. I took a $700 gamble they were authentic, because of a number factors, mostly the way the paper lay, and sent them to SGC.

The Clarkson came back a 60, the 2 commons a 50 and an 84.

These cards are G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S. Never seen cleaner examples. EVER.

Just thought I'd pass this along. At least one will wind up on Ebay again, I'm sure.

James,
You are a gutsy gambler! I was one of the underbidders on the lot. I think I stoped about $20 shy of the final bid. I am happy for ya...

I was one of the less-seasoned collectors who had intially questioned this auction. I was definitely wrong on this one and I congratulate you on your win!
