Default Whats up with the T206 Titus

Posted By: Lee Behrens

I have been on ebay for a liitle over a yearbuying and selling T205, T206, and T202's. One card that has fascinated me his higher than common price is the T206 Titus. His price is always listed as a normal common but when they go on auction they seem to command a small premium, heck Kit Young was even paying the higher price. Whats up is it because he is the only guy with a mustache?

Lee,

I sense that you might in part be referring to the T206 Titus that sold in the auction link below. $91 for a miscut (or trimmed) common with Sovereign back. In this instance I suggest that you look at the general bidding histories of 1) Danbuzz (the seller in this instance), 2) Caylenson (the buyer in this instance), and 3) Tailsmen. Whether it's one person shilling, or three people colluding, I don't know, but I've been fascinated for months now watching many low-medium grade T206's from Danbuzz sell for very high prices, usually to one of those two. Also look at Danbuzz and Tailsmen's posting style for their past auctions. Identical. Also note the lavish praise that Danbuzz, Tailsmen and Caylenson (who has one about 1/2 of Danbuzzes auctions in the past month) give one another in the feedback sections.

This guy went to the costume shop and bought a real nice "Buck Ewing's own mustache model"...

How 'bout that for the new T206 book?....

It's funny you should bring up those 3 ebayers. Ebayer most love these guys. They get a nice consignment off them. I see Danbuzz is bidding on a lot of 26 T206 cards that are low grade nad he has a bid of $295, maybe he has found a couple of suckers out there.
