Just wondering if JSA or PSA will authenticate some autographs without removing them from the display case. I ask this because I recently acquired the pictured display case that contains autographs (mostly on cards) of the 1948 Invincibles Cricket team. The display is professionally done, and I don't want to damage the presentation.
Has anyone had JSA or PSA do this type of authentication in the past? I'm planning on taking it to an in-person event and don't want to be denied after going through the hassle of carrying it to an event. I could take it to PSA's walk-in Wednesday's event but would have to leave it and shipped it back. Any recommendations are appreciated. |

I have seen many authenticated framed items from JSA that were authenticated without removal from the frame. However, they are usually single signed items.
Not sure if anyone will authenticate the item with this many signatures and let's face it these are not everyday name autographs. Who knows if they have exemplars for all of these autographs. Good luck with the authentication but I would not be surprised if they passed on authenticating them in or out of the frame. |

I suspect the response would be "crickets"
No authentication but at least a correct identification of the sport. ![]()

I think jsa might do it for you in person in the frame. You should email them. PSA I don't think would.

You'd honestly be best served trying to find someone in Great Britain or even Australia who possesses some semblance of actual knowledge on the subject matter. Nobody over here has a clue. Why fork over money for a COA from people who have no idea? The only upstanding thing they could do would be to turn your submission away. This is not their territory. Please don't waste your money.
Also, on the off chance that they have cricket consultants, why not go directly to the source? No idea who that would be, but there has to be someone. Last edited by BillyCoxDodgers3B; Yesterday at 07:29 PM. |

However you manage to get authentication, that’s a pretty awesome pickup!

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts, recommendations and comments. I do think that both JSA and PSA will certify the autographs, PSA charges $100 for Don Bradman's autograph alone.
I'll just wait and take it in when there is an event near me and find out. Thanks again. |
