Default A New Find and Addition to the 1929 Leader Novelty Set! Gehrig!

There has been a new discovery and an addition to the 1929 Leader Novelty Set. This Sucks as I was down to 3 cards now I need 4! ugh......

I know nothing about this set but it is astonishing that it took almost 100 years before a Gehrig was found. To those cheering on Dan, I am sure he appreciates it but think about it...not so sure a Gehrig is just going to pop up again anytime soon.

Best of luck Dan. I am guessing someone got a good deal on the lot.

Like Chase I am amazed, and I don't remember another vintage set in the past few decades that had a card of such a prominent player finally discovered. However, the Leader Novelty set is one prone to additions...check out this thread from about 12 years ago that identified 12 or 13 new cards added to its list of known subjects:
