Default RIP Bill Nix

I am very sad to say that a long time friend and hobby running mate, Bill Nix, has passed. He died Sunday while he and his wife were vacationing in Florida. He was not a member of this forum but several will remember him as one of "The Three Bill's" from the National Sports Collectors Conventions. He was the quiet one of the bunch. He, Bill Kopperud and myself along with another friend, David Sykes, looked forward each year to getting together with our many friends on Tuesday night prior to the opening of the Convention. Over the years Bill collected Bobble Heads, Vintage Boxed Games, Advertising, Vintage Bats and Equipment. Most important of all he was an all around "Good Guy" and will be missed greatly.

"The Three Bill's Sporting Goods" plan to continue in the future with Bill Nix always with us in spirit.

Condolences. It's always sad to hear about another member of the old guard passing from the scene. Try to think of how lucky you were to have him in your life, and all the great memories that has left you.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our good friend Bill. We don't think we've ever met a kinder more soft-spoken soul than Bill. The hobby has lost a truly wonderful man. Our condolences go out to Bill's family and friends.

Rest in Peace - my friend.

I would like to thank everyone who has posted condolences on the forum and also reached out through other avenues. I will certainly share these messages with the rest of the "Three Bill's" group and especially his family. His wife will recognize many of the names and the stories associated with them.

Just saw this Bill and am very sad to hear of Billy's passing. Always remember hanging out with you all and him and his always smiling face and some of his funny buttons over the years. RIP to him and prayers to his family and to his travel buddies. Tough losing one of the group for sure.
