Hello all,

3rd time collecting cards! As a kid i collected from 85-90 and sold my first collection to buy my first car, this is where it all began for me. Second time around was 04 till 08 and had to sell because of a divorce. The card world changed so much in the time I was gone I had to relearn and figure out what this grading thing was all about haha.

I joined this group after going back to the PSA forums and checking it out and well... its not what it was. The old PSA forum guys were incredibly knowledgeable and more importantly willing to share their hobby knowledge with those of us who are still learning (This is where I learned of Net54). I also visit Facebook groups and the level of immaturity is a turnoff although sometimes entertaining.

So this go around i have no intentions of selling off what I have started to collect and plan to keep my true PC stuff till the end . I started back in early 2019 collecting football. I find it hard to stay focused with so many collecting options these days. I have been through the Breaking phase, then buying hobby box phase and I am over both of those parts of collecting. Now I just buy the cards I want and don't waste my money, it was fun but not worth the cost for me. So about 100 of these cards are at PSA now and will be sold off to fund my PC of collecting my favorite players from Football, Basketball and Baseball. I'm off to a good start and I am always looking for that next card.

Anyways sorry for the long intro and here's to hoping this is the right forum for me.

Sounds good and welcome aboard
Just curious what is your main interest or focus on the baseball side?
Are you looking to do a Set (ie 1933 Goudy? T205's)? Or are you focusing on players (HOF or from a Team)?

Hi Jeff,

On the baseball side I'm really just looking for my favorite players from the 80's. 90% will probably be HOF'ers. My last 3 baseball purchases as an example were 84 Fleer Traded Clemens and Puckett in PSA 9 and a very random SGC 9.5 of the 1991 UD SP1 Jordan.

Currently working on 3 PSA Registry basic Topps player sets of:
Walter Payton: 84.62%
Joe Montana: 87.5%
Jerry Rice: 94.74% (Last card needed is at PSA now)

The basic player sets will be my focus and I am thinking about starting a Barry Sanders and LT set soon.

Full disclosure - I'm not a rich man and I buy when the funds are available which is not daily
