Default The grading game.

I am tired of all the nonsense with the so called big 3 grading companies. I decided to try a new one so on 1/19/21 I sent a 100 card grading order to GMA. I received them back today 1/28/21. WOW. I could not believe it. So fast. So how were the grading scores. They were really tough. I did not send them any pre war but I did send some 50's and 60's cards. Many of the grades were lower than I thought they should be. Seem to be very hard on the older stuff.

We're all dying to see if their slabs are the huge ones that really missed the mark, or if the company ultimately made them more reasonably sized.

The 1st card I saw graded & slabbed is a Michael Jordan rookie reprint

Different card grading company, you're thinking of CSG.

If you want a card slabbed for you collection and you aren’t worried about selling or your heirs selling send it anywhere you want. If you want to sell and want true market value you have to use PSA, Beckett or SGC. No one is going to touch a high dollar card in a lower tier slab. Just look at the prices realized and you’ll see why it’s worth the wait.

I actually think GMA is great and offer some amazing services.

A collector can get their collection slabbed and labeled for a very reasonable price. They also offer a service of making custom flips for your cards.

I can understand that people who make cards all about the $ involved not liking them. For people who want a nice cheap product to protect/display their cards they are the best I know of.

They did a great job and I am pleased with their service. Also there was no 3 to 4 month wait. Form the day I mailed them it took only 9 days and I had them back. Some of you guys crack me up. You never try anything new. What's going to happen to the new company starting up, the same thing. It will take them years to get business. To bad because the Big three don't give a rats ass how they treat you because you just keep going back.

Unfortunately agree....

It's not until card prices start to decline that people will be open to anything different. Sadly, greed typically trumps honesty and integrity these days.

At least they knew that Jordan was a reprint. PSA may have slabbed it as real

I'm a slab buster but have handled many gma cards. I dont discount gma as legit from what I've seen on vintage.
