Default LOTG auction pick ups

I finally got a Wagner "portrait" to add to my collection.

I'm excited about this one, its as close to a T206 as I'll ever get.
This auction was loaded with cards that I found desirable.
I decided to take a shot at a whale, and this time I landed it.

Picked up this atrocity. Had a dream the night before that his name was Mr. Gripples. Strange I know.

Looks like it belongs on a Slipknot album cover. Congrats (I think).

I completely underestimated the M101-3 Cobb, but did manage to pick up a number of cards that I've been putting off for awhile.

Thrilled to add this one, which is now the 2nd time I'll be upgrading this really tough Ruth. Thought I got at a great price considering a PSA 2 with decent crease across middle (albeit better centered) went for over 15k a few months ago in Memory lane!

Centering is off but image is very clean with some light corner creasing and very large borders, just off center. E220's are so tough to find not cut short or with very irregular cuts. Thrilled to get this nice clean Ruth!

Also picked up my a tough E135 of Smoky Joe Wood!

I ended up with the M101-3 Cobb. I’ll admit I underestimated how strong it would go. But it’s been on my want list for awhile so thrilled I could add it to my Cobb collection.

I have always loved the E220 Ruth, what a fantastic image. Congrats on a great pickup.

Ryan...

The M101-3 Cobb was my favorite card in my collection. The image of Cobb is great. Not all of the M101-3 Cobb's have the hint of color in his face like this one does. I was sad to let it go, but it was the only way I could put this set together debt free.

glad that you got the PC796 Evers/Schaefer... I think you got a steal on that and whoever won my PC796 Gabby Street got a steal as well... I consigned those and downgraded to lesser quality examples to get me to the goal of completing the PC796 set.... ONE card to go....

I’ll take good care of it. An amazing Cobb item. Good luck putting your set together.

Great pickups everyone... so many cards on here I was following. It’s great to know that net54 members took down so much of LOTG’s top items. Congrats to all

For some reason or other I was also attracted to this lot. I can't put my finger on just what it was but...

Blame me for the extra bid. I thought it was super cool, but you beat me out. Congrats. If you get it and decide you don't like it, let me know.

This was my consolation prize. Perfect fit for my presidential collection. The autos inside are just a super cool bonus.

Great pickups everyone, so many great pieces. Rich, love the double name Plank!

I was really happy to add another T209 to my collection, the mystery man Bourquoise. Was also happy with the price, I kept thinking I would get outbid. Hard to find any Contentnea’s in this grade that are in my price range.

Default T3

If the winner of the T3 lot wants to offload a few, please let me know. I let go of that lot (37 cards) in favor of the single card that I started this thread with...
