Default cracked slab, from auction house

Hey gents - protocol question. Just received auction winning, and the slab arrived with a 3/4" crack. No damage to the card, doesnt seem to impact the structural integrity of the slab.

Would you just let it be, or would you contact the AH in an attempt to get it corrected?

I would definitely contact the AH. It should have been sent insured so the cost of reslabbing should be covered.

Definitely have them fix it. I can't imagine you would enjoy looking at that annoying and distracting crack every time you try to admire your card.

Yes let AH fix. They should send back to SGC to reholder the card. This way if something happens you are on the sidelines. And although you feel the crack has not affected the card when the card is removed SGC might disagree. Nice Cobb by the way. Good luck.

You may not intend to resell but someday you may. I’d be less inclined to pay full price for a cracked slab. Get them to take care if it.

Also there is the risk the crack could spread and damage the card. The longer you wait the more likely SGC could say they can't guarantee the grade if it is sent in for a reholder. As others have mentioned I would get this taken care of as soon as possible.
