Default FS Babe Ruth Fan Letter

It is unsigned, but definitely in Ruth's handwriting. $900

Hi Dan,

Neat item! It's a shame that "the Babe" didn't live on BABE RUTH DRIVE.

Super-cool piece. The writing illustrates that you can't key on one or two letters when trying to authenticate Ruth's signature. Ruth not only connected letters in unpredictable ways, but sometimes he connected letters differently for different words; e.g. - the 'er' in 'Riverside' are not at all like he connects them in 'Sincerely'. I've seen this in other examples of legitimate Ruth items, so I look for it, just for fun.

Seeing this raises a question.. Is there an example where Babe Ruth signed New York Yankees or NY Yankees underneath his signature?

Very cool, have we just unearthed one of the Babes residences or was it common knowledge?

I did a google search of the address when I first got the letter and it's common knowledge. There was even a letter in an REA auction that had this same address.

Here's one that I dealt with that had the same confirmed Ruth address.
