Default Mantle Maris cards 1962 Life Magazine

I have for auction here an April 13, 1962 Life magazine that still has the Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris cards attached. Both the Mantle card and the Maris card are in near mint condition. The life magazine cover shows normal wear and split on spine from bottom staple down. Doesn't affect the cards that seem in perfect condition.

I will run the auction until 8 p.m. Thursday night, with an opening bid of $10.00 + $3.95 for shipping.
Thanks.

How are there two hours left? According to your listing the auction ended at 8:00 p.m.

I had already bid $51.00 in post #12 and the auction should have ended at 8:00. So what's going on? Something doesn't seem right here.

He didn't specify which time zone. For that matter, it's only 7:23 right now on the west coast. Still 37 more minutes of bidding left

In the case of not specifying a time zone then.....You are central time zone...in my mind this auction ended at 8pm CST.....post 12 should probably win...

OK guys, I clearly booted the ball on this auction time situation and apologize to everyone. Since I did not list the time zone I was going by, I have to make a decision and do what I think is right thing to do.

I sincerely apologize to everyone for making TWO mistakes. One, not listing the exact 8 p.m. time zone I was using and TWO, erroneously stating there were 2 hours left when there was only one. Please accept my apology for both.

First of all, I am in the Central time zone. In post #13 I mistakenly said 2 hours left in the auction. That post was at 6:49 MY TIME. That post SHOULD have said 1 more hour to go as I am on CENTRAL TIME. That is the time zone I intended on using all along. If you see my past auctions, I stated 8 p.m. central in those.

Having said that, the leading bidder at 8 Central time was post #12 at $51.00

I know this may make some people mad that bid more but I have to do what my intentions were and what I feel is the right thing to do.

In the future, I will CLEARLY state a time and time zone and try to make all rules clear so there is no confusion.. Thanks to everyone for bidding.
Colin

What about the earlier post/bid for more money, at $51?

It's ok my friend. As long as the end result is the right thing, which I think it is, then you are good. (not because i think it is either...it's because it is )
