Default Legendary's G&B O'Rourke

I can't remember the last time I saw a G&B Hall of Famer for sale publicly, so I was curious to see how much it would go for. This one sold for $5,000 plus the premium. I was expecting two or three times that price. I was the underbidder and let my wife talk me out of placing another bid. Should I ever forgive her, or was this a once in a lifetime opportunity that I missed?

There will be another.....for 2-3x that one, I saw it and just don't have the funds but that was a low price imo. Great photo...

Damn. Well, at least I won six (!) R304 Al Demaree cards, all Hall of Famers. Not a bad night's work.

It's a great card. I'm surprised by the price, as well... thought it would be 8-10k. The G&B's are rather tiny, and maybe O'Rourke isn't the highest demand HOFer. But it was a very cool photo with a terrific mustache.

Was actually surprised by quite a few lots tonight, prices seemed soft, at least in regards to what I was watching.

Somebody got a killer deal on that card! I was considering it, but then turned my attention elsewhere.
