Default T206 Ledger Pages

I've had a few people ask me for some or all of these images, so I decided to just post them all right here in a single thread:

American Beauty and Carolina Brights Ledger Pages

Cycle Ledger Page

Hindu Ledger Page

Hindu Ad

Old Mill Ad

Tolstoi Letter

Uzit Letter

Default Hey Scott

Great stuff......That UZIT letter is one of the sources for this post of mine in my recent UZIT thread......

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...highlight=uzit

Hey guys....if you are having a tough time finding a T206 UZIT card....or, you find one but the cost is sky-high.....then,
you have the option of acquiring a T80. These UZIT cards are more available, typical price for a nice one is $50 - $100.
And, you have acquired a very colorful gold-bordered T-card

In the Spring of 1911, American Lithographic (ALC) started producing their Gold-bordered T-cards. They issued a set of
50 military cards (T80). Of which the majority were printed with TOLSTOI advertising backs. Lesser quantities of T80's
advertise LENOX and UZIT cigarettes. And very rarely, T80's are found with the CAIRO MONOPOL or OLD MILL backs.

An ALC letter dated March 18, 1911 to Factory #30 (NY) states that a UZIT brand cigarette pack would include a T206
card and one military card in every pack. Another letter, dated Feb. 16, 1911, instructed Factory #30 insert a military
card and T206 card in each pack of TOLSTOI cigarettes.

In the Spring of 1911, the T206 era was ending and the gold-bordered (T42, T80, T205, etc.) era was commencing.

Very neat items.

The Hindu page recently surfaced in a Goodwin auction, not sure if it ended up in a members collection. Thanks for sharing.

I no longer own any of this - at one point I owned the Cycle Dygert and the Hindu Reulbach. Should have kept them, but did not.

Most of the other images came from a Mastro catalog.

agree with you on the plastic. For what reason would you need that slabbed? I could see it being archivally mounted and framed behind UV protection, but slabbed is crazy.

Scott, thanks for sharing. Great having you back on the board.

Jason, that's very nice of you to say. I am enjoying this round of collecting and board participation MUCH more than before. There are so many knowledgeable collectors now, and there seem to still be plenty of cards to go around.
