The Killebrew is in fine shape and the Robinson has a mark on the back. I would prefer to trade if you have any HOF, doesn't necessarily have to be from my want list. Would that be an option?

rob, you might wanna double check your rc wantlist...The '48 leaf's are actually 49's, so that would eliminate Spahn and Kiner as rookies from that set. Slaughter and Rizzuto had a cards in the '41 Double Play set. Billy Southworth had cards going back into the teens..

Just figured that if you're working on rookies, this little bit of info might help keep you from getting a few cards that you might end up realizing that you didn't need... I made a few of the same mistakes when I was starting out with the rookies.

Patrick,

The FRob has someones name in small writing along the very top of the card in pencil. I can send you some scans if you're interested. I like the 73 Topps Ryan on your list of cards for trade.

No problem Rob. The term Rookie gets thrown around too loosely by many, even by the "professionals", and while some people will accept them as rookies, there's usually a higher percentage that don't.. Not that I'm generally the conformist type, but when it comes to cards, as far as value and resale potential(if needed in an emergency), having the "more widely accepted" rookies, as opposed to the most "generically accepted", will not only feel more satisfying, but will also be easier to move..

Having the '48 of Slaughter to me(as a rookie card) would've been the easy way out. Kind of like wanting a 1993 SP Jeter, but settling for one of his Classic cards instead, because they're still technically rookies.

Hi Rob,

What condition are you looking for? I have 75 Carter and Rice, but not sure of condition.

If we can't work out a trade, I'm iterested in the 72, Perry, Morgan and Perez for purchase if condition is fairly good.

I am not normally a stickler for condition, but on those two cards I am. I already have them, but they are in F condition (basically fillers). So for those cards I would be looking for VG-EX. The condition of the 72 cards that you asked about are all is nice shape. I can send you scans if you PM me your email.
