I have seen several of these over the years from Cincinnati 1910 and earlier. I don't recall seeing one with your exact year, but I bid heavily on one in a Robert Edward auction about 10 years ago. It was pure silver. No sure what metal yours is made of. The one I was looking at was the owners son inlaw, the fact it was silver, and ones later than your has a beautiful picture etching of the 'Palace of the fans' ballpark might have made it worth more. It sold for around 6k. I would look at old rea auction archives to get a better idea. They are neat and rare.

I was told it is silver, but I am trying to buy it, I don't own it yet.

Richard,

Fantastic if you can get it at a great price.

One issued to a different person was auctioned about ten years ago and came in at $7,000 with the vig. I think it was a Mastro Auction.

Due to times etc. I would place the value of the pass at $8,500

Just found it 10/2000 Mastro $7024.00

I would guess $500-$1,000. They are rare and do believe they were made out of silver. Called Silver Season Passes.

There was an 1899 for sale in a local auction here in Indianapolis in 2002. I was the high bidder at $2,000 but the owner wanted $5,000. Later, he said he would take $4,000 but I didn't have the money.

That same piece sold in a Mastro Autcion (Chicago, 2007, I believe) for $7,000 dollars.

A similar one just sold on ebay last month and if I remember right it went for about $5000. It is the only one I have seen outside a major auction so I would guess that is the approximate value.

It is all very interesting. A 1902 Reds sold for $8857.00 in 2008 and a 1915 Giants sold for $6853.00 April 2, 2011.

Using a sale price from ebay is always a tough choice in comparison to what an item will bring in a private sale or at a sports auction.

Value is $8500.00.

What the seller wants for the item is between him and his buyer
