Thumbs up Stunning stuff!

Hi!
GREAT stuff1 i've never ever seen even one example! I'm sure these will sell fast! They are simply rare and beautiful! I love those old AFL cards, esp. pt=re-merger!

Good luck,
Bill

ps: I'm putting 2 of each Abner Haynes card (main stream and regional) so I can keep one and give one to my friend, Mr. Haynes....he's a true gentleman and all-around great guy!)

Nice, Scott, I've never seen those before. Did Fairmont print Chiefs cards every year from 1963 to 1969? Do you have others you can show us?

A few years back we wrote an article for Gridiron Greats. That highlighted the dairy issues. Scott contributed the info on the Fairmont Dairy and I the Jones Dairy. There are lots of nice pictures. Credit Scott for breaking the code on "black" vs "red" printing. The "black" are on low fat milk and seem to be more difficult to obtain that the "red", not that any are easy. Here is a representation of each.....

To say these are rare is an understatement. In the 14 years I have been active on Ebay less than a handful have appeared, NONE have ever been offered by an auction house to my knowledge. In the next couple of days I will post some more scans.

To answer a question above, these were issued in all years 1963-1969 on the side of 1/2 gallon milk cartons. As a child I had dozens and dozens of 1967-1969's, my mother bought a 1/2 gallon of 2% milk every week. Sadly all were sold with my baseball cards in 1981. The baseball cards have been replaced 100x's over. It took me 10 years to find 4 of the Fairmont Dairy cards, even doing shows in Kansas City on a regular basis. I have now acquired several cards from each year, many of which were uncatalogued at the time as they were so rare no one knew who was in the set.

I would like to hear from anyone else collecting these as well.

I do have one lower grade one on Ebay that ends Weds 5-4-2011 http://cgi.ebay.com/1967-Kansas-City...item4aaab3fa55
