Default Mantle RC on ebay

Any one buy this auction? When I hear the words "wire transfer" I run for the hills but he has sold some high end cards in the past with + feedback.

Might be trying to avoid the paypal ripoff scams people pull on high dollar cards.

For that much cash, I would think you would want to locally pick that card up..

Default Wire Transfer

Wire Transfer is by far the safest method for the seller. It is the only 100% full proof method of getting paid and being able to send out a shipment immediately (other than receiving cash on pick up). Money Orders and Bank Drafts are being professionally forged and you cannot be certain that they are good until they have cleared (can take up to a month to clear). Paypal and any method that can involve a credit card are at risk of charge backs. I have examined this issue and will only accept wire transfer for a large purchase if the buyer wants their item right away (and they usually do by Fedex etc. for a large value item). Unless the customer is willing to wait until their payment clears (if paying by bank draft, certified check or money order), I will only take wire transfer for high value items.

It has the word scam written all over. Do not wire money. Most of this ebayer feedbacks are from nonsports cards related items. I would be extremely cautious. It is a classic scam

Default Wire Transfer

I am not endorsing anyone ever paying any seller by any method if they believe it is not on the up and up. However, if it is a reputable seller that you TRUST, wire transfer is safest method for them to receive payment.

Broken keyboards that only write in UPPER CASE scare me.
