Default We are growing = more bandwidth needed

Yesterday I had an email conversation with our Net54baseball.com hosting company. We (me, myself and I ) think they are really good. They told me that we were over our alotted bandwidth and that is why there had been a few hiccups and slowness lately. For a little bit more money each month I made the decision to buy more bandwidth. Everyone should see some improvement in the speed of the forum. This is really just a post to update everyone on what is going on. Nothing formal or fancy. regards

Thanks for all you do, Leon. I'd like to donate to the cause. Is that allowable, and if so, can I send a check/paypal/etc.?

Thanks for your kind offer. When the banner ads went up approx. 3 yrs ago there was a promise to the board, from me, to never take a penney from any board member personally. The banners are some compensation for time put in. It's not 100's of thousands (or even 35k) but it's something, and is more than enough for what I would be doing anyway, and what I did for a year and a half before the banners were instituted. Once again I appreciate the kind offer but will respectfully deny it. Take care and thanks again for your participation on the board. Everyone's contributions is what makes it a great place.

I would also like to register a big THANK YOU to Leon for the wonderful site. This board is almost as much fun (maybe more) as the cards themselves!

I agree, thanks Leon. For someone who doesn't contribute much to the board, I read it everyday, probably more than I should. Thanks for all you do.

I thought I read a comment recently about many folks not posting as often on the new board. Oh well, must have read it wrong.

Rob - clearly the folks are posting a lot less, but uploading many more images, which explains the bandwidth usage. If you thought about it for a minute you could have figured it out yourself.

Actually it should have said we have more sarcastic, antagonistic posters than ever. The good guys post less.

Leon, I'm glad that you don't charge by the hour. With all of the time that I spend on this site I wouldn't be able to afford any cards!

Thanks,
Rick
